Since the presentation is only an hour long and a lot of titles already confirmed, it is possible to predict the Nintendo Direct set to air June 11 at 7am PST/ 9am Central, you can watch it live here. Instead of the traditional press conference on stage, Nintendo has decided to reveal their E3 surprises during a very special presentation that is pre-recorded. This is my official prediction of the full video with details.
9am central (my local time): Iwata will begin revealing games for his company.
Super Mario Universe
Mario Kart U
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (gameplay and gamepad footage)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2 (tons of new footage)
Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem
Either new Metroid or possibly an older series revival (Retro)
Third Party (exclusives)
Sonic Lost World
The Wonderful 101
other company new title announcement (Atlus, Sega, Namco)
and now the moment we’ve all been waiting for, but no crowd cheering this time…
Super Smash Brothers Clash for Wii U/3DS
Emphasis on 3DS and Wii U versions connecting, clash as in Nintendo worlds collide (also collision with one Namco, one Sega, one Konami character).
[Estimated time: 3-4 minute long trailer]
>Start off with veterans (such as Mario, Link, Pikachu, Kirby) jump into new game which is both 3D and HD.
>Next show very brief gameplay of a couple of new stages with veterans duking it out
>Reveal new characters: Predicting at least 4 first party characters
1. Dark Pit, Kid Icarus: Uprising (can use both Dark Pit Staff and Silver Bow)
2. Chrom, Fire Emblem Awakening
3. New Mario series rep character, could be: Bowser Jr, Toad, Rosalina, Birdo
3. Classic Nintendo character revival, such as Little Mac/Balloon Fighter/Lip.
4. New Pokemon, probably Generation V’s Zoroark
At the end a possible surprise reveal of Namco character.
Afterwards someone (Iwata/Sakurai) will confirm that the Smash Dojo will make a return on a certain date and reveal updates for the upcoming Super Smash Bros Clash everyday until the title is released at the end of 2014.
Let’s see how accurate my full prediction is! After following Nintendo for many years and by analyzing their previous announcements I bet a lot of it will be close. Of course, with a company as secretive as Nintendo… hopefully they continue to surprise everyone with a shocking reveal or revival.
